Kia ora whanau!

This morning started with something a little unusual and very special to the group currently sailing with us. They went ashore at Marsden Cross and spent some time absorbing the history, feeling and spiritual peacefulness of this special part of the Bay of Islands.

After a short motor sail across the Bay to a special location, we all visited the Taniwha’s cave, and an experience of darkness, surging water and the expressive sounds of excited trainees.

On return to the ship, some managed to achieve personal goals of swimming under the ship from one side to the other.

We are now anchored in Awaawaroa Bay, and shortly we will be briefing the trainees on their big day tomorrow.

All our best for now.

Tae noa ki apopo!
