YTH 2118 – Tahi Ra

Kia Ora friends and whanau.

What a start to a week at sea. The sun was shining, and spirits are high. After waving goodbye to you all, we set some sails and did a few initiation activities to ship life. We had an awesome pasta lunch on deck, with the sails pushing us toward Robertson Island. We did some climbing and a name game underway, before dropping the anchor at Twin lagoons, our anchorage for the night.

After a ship orientation, we went ashore for some team building, a walk, and some quiet time. A devotional took us through to dinner.

Highlight was seeing a shark cruising around the bay at anchor.

We have some excellent characters on board this voyage. Here’s to a fun, funny and fulfilling week ahead.

Quote of the day: “the ship looks quite cool with all the sails up”… true.

Until tomorrow,

Ma Te Wa
