YTH 2401 Ra Tuatoru – Day three

We thought we’d let you know that we saw a kiwi from last night’s adventure! We managed to catch a peek of this beautiful kiwi sneaking down the track, across a river and into the tall grass. The tender ride back to the ship was also an amazing experience with bioluminescence glowing around us. Once we got back to the ship it was time to brush our teeth and tuck ourselves into bed. Rise and shine! It’s swim time! We quickly put our togs on and jumped into the water. Breakfast soon followed, baked beans, scrambled eggs with bubble and squeak. After our morning routine we lifted anchor and headed out to deep water. The rolling swell made riding the bowsprit so exciting. We loaded on to the bow net and could feel the swells on our toes. It was a delicious vegetable soup with toasted cheese dippers which warmed the soul. We then sailed back into the bay to Paradise Bay, Urupukapuka Island. It was time to play beach games and more activities on-shore. After laughing the bay down it was time to head back to the ship for more games and dinner, honey soy chicken and roasties…yum! Once the sun goes down and darkness arrives, we will be heading ashore to play spotlight to see the end of the day. Another full on day with more adventures to follow! Until tomorrow. Ma te wa!
