YTH2319A – Ra Tuarima – Day Five

Another glorious day in the Bay begins with a morning dip in Oke Bay. We’re pretty efficient now and morning routine kicked off quickly after our swim. Chef Tom had the galley smelling good with baked beans, toast and porridge for breakfast. We broke into our sail stations, lifted the hook and headed toward Deep Water Cove. We were underway when Jeremy (the horse shoe floaty) decided to fall overboard. MAN OVERBOARD! we yelled and put our training into action. We retrieved Jeremy from the water and gave him first aid treatment (exercise).
We sailed into our destination, dropped the hook and set ourselves up for an epic dive. The water was full of playful snapper. While we were diving Chef Lola warmed up some boil up and toast dippers that kept us warm and happy.
We were busting to get the sails up so we headed on out for our next leg to Paradise Bay. Chef Rachel cooked a delicious beans and rice meal for dinner followed by a peach crumble for dessert. We ended our day fishing while the sun set on the horizon. Another epic day of sailing and adventures. Stay in touch for our last full day update from this voyage tomorrow!
