1901 – Ono Ra

Kia Ora from the good ship R Tucker Thompson.
Today has been a packed day full of laughter and joy.

Our day started off with a morning swim in the ocean followed by morning duties of sweeping, moping, scrubbing the decks and polishing the brass. After breakfast Rebecca completed the tucker challenge and earnt herself her turks head bracelet.

Shortly after Darius and Malindi raised anchor and set sail out to sea, Jazmine took the helm while Winifred, Ethan and Flo helped make PIZZAS! for lunch. We arrived at our lunch anchorage and devoured our pizzas like a pack of seagulls. After a quick rest we suited up and made our way towards the Taniwha cave. (A 40m long dark cave filled with the ocean swell) We concurred our way through the cave all together and opened up into a reef around the island, we spent some time relaxing and jumping of the rocks into the water.

We made our way back to the ship, raised anchor and motored over to paradise bay for a fun beach afternoon- we launched Little Tuc and Maxime and Giora rowed to shore, and the rest of us took the tender. Upon arrival to the beach Helmi, Lilly and Lucie sunbathed while the rest mucked around on the beach. Later on another group of german exchange students came down to the beach and we ended up having an intense and energetic game of football- we lost, but all were smiling and laughing.

After some fun in the sun we made our way back to the ship and had some free time, some went swimming, some went down below and played games. We are now making our way to our night anchorage at Putakokota Bay, all happy looking forward to our roasted dinner tonight. See you tomorrow
