YTH2315 – Rā Tuatahi – Day One

Kia ora whanau, We are anchored up safely in Paradise Bay, Urupukapuka Island, being served a delicious curry cooked by our Captain Marcel. We’ve spent the afternoon running around on the beach getting to know each other and building sculptures in the sand, and checked out some local wildlife. Many of us decided to take on the challenge of swimming the 300m distance back to the ship at sunset, before getting in our PJ’s and settling in for the evening. Tomorrow is looking good for a decent sail and getting into the elements, so watch this space!
