Ahoj from the Tucker T.
Another swim done bright and early this morning, with Winni first in. Chores and breakky out of the way, we hoisted the anchor and went round the corner to Waiwatorea in search of the Easter bunny.
Once ashore, trainees had to identify and collect some native and pest plants to earn their Easter treats. After some chocolate and a hill climb, we went back to the ship to grab snorkelling gear so we could find some kina on the reef. Ethan, Max, had a try of the kina. Then we hoisted the anchor and made our way over our next destination, Moturoa. On the way trainees learnt some knot tying skills while Darius and Lucie were on navigation duties. Max, Giora, Winni, Malinde, Darius, Flo, Lily, Helmi, Lucie and Ethan all completed the Tucker challenge too! Well done.
Once we made it to Bucket-of-kai Bay we had our lunch, quiche, and then went ashore for a walk. Up at the WW2 bunkers everyone did the 30 minutes of silence, looking out into the Bay. Then we walked down to the beach and into the dingy back to the ship. Now we are at our overnight anchorage Gravel Bay with some taking a swim and the others having a discussion round the saloon with the smell of dinner wafting around the ship.
