YTH-1904 Rima Ra

From the Good Ship R.Tucker Thompson, from Moturoa island back in the Bay. Delayed the swim this morning for an early up anchor departure for the sunrise which has yet to really arrive. The cloud covered horizon was only disturbed by a mollymawk albatross gliding in for a visit. Hot chocolates then breakfast as we rounded Cape Brett and found peace in Paradise Bay, a very uneventful trip. An early lunch meant we can drag the afternoon out and we were soon ashore to Urupukapuka Island and a vigorous hike out to the seaward cliffs with dramatic vertical drops and views to Cavalli Islands in the North and the Cape we earlier rounded.  Blake and Joshua set the pace with Tiriti and Ryan pushing them, Daniel at times,  Katharina walking and jogging, Waiorangi, Joe in the next pack with Natlya, Maggie and Paige, Tommy heading off at new star. With no chocolate fish in our packs we elected to return to the ship for a swim and shower from this morning and a much enjoyed  hot chocolate. A compass course for our safe passage,  then up anchor and across the middle ground over to Moturoa.  Paige and Daniel have been in the galley baking so the ship is full of anticipating smiles. Songs  from shows fill the saloon, beats on table, plucks on ukulele, the playlist seems inexhaustible. Got a full day ahead, forecast again for light winds but we are where we want to be. Back to class.
