Kia ora everyone, much to everyone’s disappointment, the “brains trust” of Trustees Tim and Russell, engineers Rick and Kim, along with our other Captain Terry, started diagnosing the engine issues aboard the good ship. As it would take time to get parts in and solve the problem, and in the interests of everyone’s comfort and safety, it was decided to cut the voyage short and get parents to collect trainees from the ship.

There was still time for some lessons this morning after our breakfast, and our trainees took the opportunity to don their harnesses and climb the rig for the last time. Captain Wayne arranged for a hearty lunch of meatballs and vegetables before parents turned up to collect the trainees and take them home.

The ship is in good hands and we expect that she will soon be ready for more adventures!
