Kia Ora from the R Tucker Thompson,
After our departure from Opua, we headed towards the western side of the Bay with Kane, Rahul and Paikea being our helmsmen along the way. We dropped anchor at Marsden Cross and went ashore for a hike with a few history lessons along the way and admired the view of the Bay in the beaming sun on this cloudless day.
Back on board we went for a swim on the sunny side of the ship and some trainees decided to go climbing aloft to get comfortable with the idea of completing the Tucker Challenge sometime. Everyone’s now fed and happy, down below doing some bookwork before the evening rolls in.
Goodnight all,
Ma te wa
