YTH-2101 Toru Ra

Kia Ora from the R Tucker Thompson

Today we started with hoisting the anchor as soon as we finished our chilly morning swim. We made our way over to Parekura Bay, where we split into two groups and half of us went up the rig and completed our tucker challenge. The other group went on mid tuck, our outboard dingy and learnt how to drive and maneuver it to pick up the horseshoe floatie.

We swapped groups so we all got a chance to do both then have a pool party, swinging off the yardarm swing where Jayden showed us how its done.

We had a good brownie, with top bakers Kymani and Jessie Lee on the job.

Then we went for an awesome soggy sail around to Orokawa bay where we will be for the night. Detroyt and Jamiee climbed to stow the topsails after getting confident up in the rig after the tucker challenge.

We’re all now warm and dry, getting ready for some delicious lasagna for dinner.

Goodnight all, Ma te wa
