Sailing gisborne coast

Kia Ora RTT Family,

Apologies about the belated post, reception was unavailable for the night.

The sun is setting on day 3 as we reflect on another epic day. We had a busy morning. Lil tuck was flying around the harbour, with most of the trainees taking the tiller. Others climbed the rigging and completed the tucker challenge. Dinghy lessons, bracelet making and fun with Michelle rounded out the morning.

After a mac n cheese lunch, we weighed anchor, set sails and went to sea. A beautiful SW breeze pushed us up the coast nicely into Whangamumu harbour.

On the passage the team had some quiet time on the bow spirit and produced a batch of choc chip cookies. Yum.  We struck the sails and launched the tender for a quick dive, before pulling into our home for the night right on dusk. A good day indeed.
