Kia Ora friends and whanau.
An exceptional day indeed. Today we set the young people up with the challenge of taking over the ship.
We woke up to a stunner of a day, with a few waking up having spent the night on deck. This morning we did some final preparation to ensure everybody was ready and feeling confident to take over the ship in the afternoon. We played some team building games on the beach and moved the ship over to Waiwaitoria Island, with some planning in there somewhere.
After lunch it was all over to the trainees, who sailed us over to Roberton island like legends. We had an epic brownie on arrival curtesy of our elected chefs. They then elected to spend the later part of the afternoon at the beach, some dived, some played frisbee and others just enjoyed being together.
We are beyond stoked with how the team stepped up to the challenge, a delightful group of young people.
Looking forward to dinner and pudding, and also seeing all of your faces tomorrow at 1!
